My 04 accord has been and continues to knock or misfire at a low RPM (15-1900) in 1st and 2nd gear. any gears or RPMs outside that range are safe from any noise, but maybe it's there and I cannot hear it. My oil level is good, and if I remember correctly no high octane or gas additive fuel has helped my problem. Cold or Hot weather I am still able to hear the noise. I do believe Hot weather is less noticeable then a cold engine, but it's still there. New spark plugs only about a year ago. I run 5W30. Any suggestions? I've heard of Rod Knock, but I've also heard it gets louder with an increase in RPM. Perhaps a valve adjustment I'm hoping? Any ideas from a learned mechanic? Thanks

 

Yeah... stop forcing your engine to work harder than is necessary and learn how to operate a automobile correctly.

 

lol are u serious.....im pretty sure im a good driver.....it does it in first gear...how low do you want me to go....im not lugging the engine...it does it when im fully in gear..flat road....even at 2000 rpm....now can i get a new diagnosis.....if im not operating correctly....please enlighten me on what im doing wrong

 

you probably need a valve adjustment. had the same issue with mine
