Need Help ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a itr 2001 and the car is going crazy all of the sudden. The speedometer jumps all over and when I get on the throttle the headlights get brighter and the interior lights flicker and get dimmer. Also my check eng. light came on rite before all this started happening. What could it be. HELP!!!!!!

Not positive but I had a similar problem with an old car of mine and it turned out to be a bad Distiibuter, get it checked because the igniter inside goes bad and the car will just die and you will have no spark at all. I am not sure like I said but it is something to look into.

Keep a very close eye on your car!! oil /temp/ ect. ! driving a car that has problems could cause way worse problem. I know everyone knows this but just a helpfull reminder

Hey it could very well be a loose terminal wire at the battery, alternator or body ground, even check the main fuse box under the hood!

I had the SAME EXACT problem this past summer....If you check the engine code, it might give you TWO codes....Mine did...The first code was the EMP (Electrical something something) and the second code was bad secondary O2 sensor...I freaked out too man....And this all happened after I put on my JDM header...If you still have warranty, GO to your ACura dealer...I know my dealer fixed it FREE....My dealer replaced my alternator with a NEW alternator and replaced the secondary O2 sensor but CEL was still on...So they dug deeper and found that a fuse blew in my EMP box..That fused controlled your electricity running to your speedometer/gauge/lights... So check that out man....By the way, I think it's "EMP"...not too sure...Good luck...Best bet is take it to dealer and tell them it just acted like this

I was digging around the car and found out it was a blown fuse. the fuse was under the dash that is for the altenator and the mph needle. Fit the discrrption perfectly. I just want to thank you all for all the help and advice. You guys are the best . thanx
