i got a 1994 Honda accord ex wagon. i had a cel 41 for o2 heater. i also had a exhaust leak in between the mid section/ i don't another o2 sensor in my garage so i threw it on an aftermarket header and put it on. coming home i notice my car periodically would buck and try to stall, if i floored the gas it would kick back in and drive. it will do this 4 times in a row then be good for about 15 minuets.
once i changed the o2 sensor the cel when out. it did come back on once driving but once i shut the car off ant turned it back on the cel was gone. next time it comes on i will try to pull the code.
i really doubt the headers would cause this. possable the o2 sensor is getting a bad read.

pulled codes again and i am getting 12 for egr and 41 again. i think i will pull apart the intake, give it a complete cleaning. i did read the diy for egr cleaning. i have a innovate wideband i might throw in with my chipped ecu.
pulling the intake apart and cleaning it is definitely a good idea. test the map sensor or have it tested. and test the egr system. there are plenty of threads on how to test the egr to find out if its the valve, vacuum, solenoid, or electrical

this car was micky posed by the previous owners. i did find an old map sensor laying in the engine bay. someone may have tried to change it at one point. when i got the car the tps was unhooked, a few vacuum lines where unhooked from egr. distributor had one bolt that was loose. the thermostat was out and the fans where wired to run all the time and it had 100$ water as coolant
when i brought the car the guy told me the head gasket was gone. i put an new thermostat and fix the fans the right way. i have gone 1000 miles with no heating issues. no oil coolant mixture.
yesterday when i replaced the 02 sensor one of the heater wires where corroded. the pin fell right off the sensor.
i am slowly undoing everything that was previously done.

i tired unplugging the egr on the intake and it is still bucking, i prob wont get a chance to clean it until the weekend.
I have a 94 accord lx MT. My car would buck and stall whenever I tried to take off from a stop. This was only after it warmed up. It was the distributor on mine.
