Icon2 Need help with TPS...please read

I have a 90 civic hatch with a factory d and a b16a throttle body. I need a new throttle positioning sensor so do i need one for the b16a or can I still use a d series?

Either one will work, just be sure to calibrate it with a voltmeter.
.45 to .50 volt throttle closed and close to 4.5 volts @ WOT.

Do not strip the wire or cut the insulation. it will only lead to possible issues down the road. You should "back probe" the connector. You will need small needle like probes on your meter to do this. Stick the needle probes in the back of the connector between the rubber seal and the wire itself.

If the probes on your meter are to big. You can try back probing the connectors by sticking pins/needles in the back of the desired wire port. Then take your readings from the needles. If you are taking measurements from two pins in one connector. Be careful not to short/touch the two pins together. Also test the resistance of the pin/needle before using it. Make sure there is no resistance if you want to get a proper reading.

Closed throttle should be between 0.45v - 0.5v and wide open throttle should be between 4.5v - 5v
