I'm building a B18 1st gen CRX its still a work in progress but should be done by early next month.






Car is pretty dirty, Sat outside for a while and I picked it up for 250$ it was painted corvette red about 3 years ago, amateur paint job.

Picked up the engine for 50$ Needed a lot of work






I have spend around $3,500 on this project right now

So people said go blockguard. Some said no, i'm just going for it. I know how to properly install it so we should be good.

Going N/A, this is actually going to be my daily driver. I went with B16 pistons for the extra power. I'm going to be at 11.39:1 Comp. I wanted to build it to be a bit peppy on the street but keeping it reliable. I'm not planning on racing it, unless light to light a couple times.

 

Sounds like its gonna be a fun DD!

 

So I got mad at the machine shop. They took 4 weeks to machine my block! I was kinda mad My head is all done tho! Pics soon :D

Got some pics of the blockguard installed and getting ready for the hone. Also have a pic of my head. The head was used, very clean. The valves arnt as dirty as they look in the pic. They are slightly used. I decided not to clean them off entirely because they will blacken right up again

Nice! Did the head get any special treatment?

 

Not for now. I built it for basically as a daily driver. High comp pistons was a spur of the moment deal. I will swap for a b16 head later. But for now I only have around 1500 to finish everything. So far im into this car over 4000$ not including car cost. Custom work = Expensive lol. But I do need an idea for colors to paint it. I dont like the red and I have a good friend who owns a body shop. Any Ideas?
