H22A Engine Oil Question
I just installed a 96 JDM H22A into my 90 Accord...
I have done all the oil changes on my car since day one,
Now, this new engine takes alot of oil, does any one exaclty how many liters
it takes to fill this bad boy?
"Obvious answer to check dipstick, but seems like 5 litres is to much"?
Thanks

that's kinda weird, i heard that all the F22 and H22 as well as the 23 used only 4 quarts, did you put 4 on the car, turn the car on and wait til it warms up. turn it off, wait 5 min and check, sometimes this is the best way to check it, cuz if the oil is cold it might not get to the bottom, or maybe you are running an oil cooler or remote filter? this would take oil as well

why should you check when the engine is cold? makes no sense
You cant be serious.
When you check it warm its halfway up the dipstick. The engine when its cold and hasnt been circulated will give you an accurate reading of how much oil is in the engine.
USDM h22a spec was 6.2 quarts for 4th gen VTEC's, at least according to:
