I just got my 94' CIVIC SI this past Dec and was on the highway this weekend.. I pushed the motor too hard, i wasn't thinking, running 3500 rpm's 85 MPH for over 30 min, just keeping up with Cali traffic, like a moron.. then knock knock knock!!! Taking it to a Honda Mechanic, but don't what to expect.. im thinking of dropping a new engine if its cheaper.. any suggestions.... thanks

 

Where r u located in cali I might know somewhere. A new single cam would bed easier and cheaper you could find em cheap

Yeah that's a drive I would search the classifieds here in the market place for a cheap used engine.

 

I recently sold my old single cam engine for $200. Swapping it will most likely be cheaper and easier than rebuilding the engine.
