Default b18c1 w/ p30 head milling

hey guys so i got all my parts to build my block finally just waiting for my crank at the machine shop and then ill post some pictures of my build. i gotta question if anyone can answer.

b18c1
ls crank
ls rods
p30
b16 head
s2p2 cams

im trying to get the compression higher by using a 2 layer headgasket, wondering if i take .020 off the head if the p2v clearance would be sketchy... anyone done this??

Doing all that will increase your compression ratio approximately .6, What comp level are you trying to reach and why?

I agree (on a build like yours). I would clay the valve pockets and see what your clearance is. As long as you're running stock size valves, you should be ok but I would check on those pistons... Usually V2V is the biggest concern.

If you want more compression just mill the head all the way down. you should have more compression with the ls crank too

i don't know if this helps but i have a JDM GSR thats been milled 0.020" total and im using P30s and oem head gasket for 12:1 CR with no P2V issues. V2V might be an issue with those cams but milling the head shouldn't change the V2V?
