so a friend was trying to pull out his seized spark lug out of his ep3 and ended up braking it inside so i need some advice on how to take it out and if it can be done with out taking off the head?? thanks in advance for the help

ouch. I'm not sure if they make them big enough, but maybe some type os (screw) extractor bit in a socket on an extension?

If not, I would assume the head would have to be disassembled.

 

should be using those shitty bosch platinum +4 bullshit plugs in the first place... also probably didn't use any anitseize


Anyways... thats a tough spot... horrible break... I doubt you'll get that out without the head being taken off truthfully. The K series plug tubes are really long making it a pain to get anything down there.

 

they make a kit for the ford 5.4 3 valve engines that is specifically for this, i have one and if you were local i'd help you out, check out this

it may or may not fit down inside a K, but its worth a shot.

 

you can get a bolt out that big enough to fit in the broken metal neck. get some penetrating oil on the stuck plugs threads let it sit then use the easy out. ive used the trick before works great
