Its a 93 Del Sol S that the instrument panel "BRAKE" light stays on *Unless* the headlights are on, then the light goes out.
Has anyone seen this before or have a good idea where to look?

Additional info...
With the car running and headlights on the light does not come on even with the Parking Brake set. If I turn the car off then and leave the headlights on the "BRAKE" light comes back on. I'm thinking it's a relay issue, but I'm not sure where to start. Brake fluid level is good.

The driver's side window doesn't work either right now, but I suspect that's a separate issue.

 

Fixed.
After tracking down the wires I found that the wiring for the cigarette lighter had burned through the insulation and shorted the wire to the switch on the parking brake. Cut off the burned out wires, ran new and its good.

 

Melted cigarette lighter wire? I bet a previous owner tried to start their car using one of those god-awful cigarette lighter "jumper cables."

I hate working in my dash, always worried I'm going to unplug or break a completely unrelated wire. Stupid body, be more coordinated.
