h22 in a civic issues.
Ive tried searching but i have had no luck finding anything helpful.
to start off, i have a 92 civic hb. i have installed an H22A engine with H23 manual transmission. i used a resurfaced 11 lbs flywheel with an XTD stage one clutch kit. i used a civic slave cylinder and slotted the engine side bolt hole to mount it properly to the H23 transmission. now my issue is that after installing this setup, i attempted to bleed the clutch line, but it will not build up any pressure. After the first 30 minutes or so i called it a night and went and bought a new clutch master cylinder. So the next day i installed it and attempted to bleed the clutch but was still unable to build any sort of pressure in the clutch line. so i inspected further, and found that there is alot of play in the clutch fork. Like a decent inch to 2 inches or play. So i removed the dust boot from the fork, had a look inside, and i can see that the fork is properly mounted to the throw out bearing.
It seems to me that there is way too much free play with the throw out bearing and clutch fork. Does anyone have any idea what my problem could be.
And sorry for no pics, but im at work right now. i am going to try and go home on my lunch and take some pictures to help with describing my issue. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

yes i have tried to adjust the pedal. even maxed out it builds zero pressure.
and I take all of my stuff to a machine shop because they are pretty legitimate and do things by the books. they said the flywheel was still within factory specs even with the resurfacing.
and like i said, its more than just play in the pedal. it wont build pressure, and the clutch fork is waaaay too loose. it would jiggle if the car were to shake.

i just searched around on majestic honda, and they state that all manual clutch release forks are the same between f22/h22/h23 transmissions. im going to try and get a new one though to see if mines bent. I was really hoping i wouldn't have to drop the transmission out though.
So to conclude this thread and in case anyone else runs into the same problem as me, the end issue was the clutch slave cylinder. I dont know if the civic one i installed had a shorter travel, but after installing a prelude slave cylinder there is pressure and the clutch engages/disengages properly. Thanks for attempting to help me Tagperformance.
Thanks for that last comment, follow I'm having a similar issue. I'm going to give that a try. Mine doesn't seem like the throw out bearing sits back far enough? I'm gonna get a bigger rod for the slave and see how that goes.

Dumb question, but is the fork pivoting on the ball stud in the tranny housing properly? If that isnt in there right, the fork will move all over the place. Broke one once, that's how I know.
it pivots fine now. but like i said, i dont know if the H slave moves in and out farther than the civic, or if its the rod length that is different. But i swapped on the normal prelude slave and it works fine.
