gasket set?
I got a f22b1 im just trying to get it in its best condition and have been thinking bout getting all the gasket changed. Are gasket set a good idea, how much would it cost to have someone install them, and will it cover all the leaks i may need to worry about?
Your probably looking at approx. $1000-1500 to have them all replaced. That's a conservative estimate. The engine and trans will be removed from the chassis to replace all of the gaskets. Almost better off buying a used engine and do a complete rebuild if your going to spend this kind of money. At least that way you can still drive your car while the other engine is being built.
ill probably start with tranny gasket and slowly do the rest i like my engine and already have some work done i just want to get it in good condition. So to start out sine im putting a new tranny in already im gonna have the guy replace all the seals and the gaskets could someone help me get a list of the gasket and seals ill need to get plz.
If you are going to go through with it you should get a complete engine kit. Not the cheapest one from Ebay. Try to get a kit with Ishino gaskets, they are OEM. Do as many seals as you can. Also check out your ignition system, Ignitor, coil, rotor, cap wires and plugs.
Crank case gasket kit = $110 CDN (autopartsonlinecanada.com)

Cylinder head kit = $250 CDN (autopartsonlinecanada.com)

These are 100% Ishino (OEM) gaskets.... you may be able to get these kits cheaper in the US. You may not end up using them all, However, it is much cheaper to buy them in the 2 kits than it is to buy them separately.

So do those two kits cover my whole engine from tranny to valve cover because i wont be able to do it all at once ill do the tranny first and work my way up. I do not belive either of those kit include the gasket and seals for the tranny correct me if im wrong plz. One thing i do know ill have to do is get a valve cover gasket which i believe is in the second picture.

yes, complete engine gaskets...
alright since im confusing ill clear up what i mean does the crankcase gasket set include shift rod seal, imput shaft seal, coverter housing seal, drive axle seal, and trans drain plug seal because those are the seals ill need right now for my tranny swap. Im also gonna get the rear main seal. Im also gonna get a valve cover gasket set cause i know it has a tiny leak. Ill buy the whole cylinder head kit and crank case kit when i got a little more money.
No those four trans seals are easily purchased on there own at any parts store.
All the stuff I am telling you is easily found online. You should talk to the mechanic who is removing your trans/doing the work for you. See what he thinks about doing a complete seal replacement for you. Asking us is really a waste of time, You should be asking the person who is doing the work for you.
If you were doing the work yourself I would probably take a few extra minutes to help you out!
