Del Sol battery relocation kit -- tray mounted like this (see pics) safe enough?
so i bought this battery relocation kit from jegs.com, came with tray, battery hold down, wires etc. but nothing to bolt the tray down.
btw this is a del sol, the tray is mounted near the center but a little to the right. a bracket is used to hold the left side of the tray, i rivited 5/32 rivits on to the tray to bracket and tray to chassis.
is it safe enough for dd?
safe for track?

There are obviously holes for you blot it down, bascially you need to see where is good for your application to bolt it donw, you need to buy some bolts washers and nuts, drill, make sure there is nothing vitual under and then mount it.
Looks flimsy. That you had to ask if it was secure means that even you think it isn't. There are a plethora of slots in the tray for all kinds of bolt configurations to be used. They're not there to look pretty.
That's not gonna pass tech. Look at a nhra approved box the battery hold down bolts through the floor and keeps the box bolted down too. I think I spent 75 on mine
it holds pretty well but iguess i go with the majority and take it off. i need to find a smaller tray and battery, this one is sized for American cars.
