another 1996 prelude srv bites the dust
i spun and rolled my beloved 96 prelude srv into a ditch over the weekend. landed on the roof. the car's a complete write-off. i miracously walked away from the whole incident.
i'm hoping to get about $17K-$18K (CDN) back for the lude. does this sound reasonable for a:
1996 prelude srv w/ 96,000km's
16"mags w/ kumho's
headers
exhaust
koni shox and springs
cai
clear corners and other little goodiez?
the car was prestine.
i plan to use the payout to pay off some debt and i'll prolly try to source a 91-93 nissan 240 coupe or hatchback. it'll prolly run about $7K for one of these, then, i'll juss drop it, put 17's on it, and put an exhaust in the back.
i'll always miss the lude. i loved that car. it took it's life to save mine.
peace

insurance dont look at all that stuff. ive wrecked 2 cars. salvage what you can and sell it to someone or put it on your next car. insurance takes alotta things into consideration, like what other preludes sell for in the area and stupid stuff like that. sounds like a good price to me! good luck thou!

the tail end got loose at 'speed' in a sweeping right hander in the wett and dark. the car did a 360 and then rolled over into a grassy ditch/embankment... landing on it's roof and crushing the driver-side door.
i'm lucky to be unscatched and alive and unhurt.
the neck is sore. but i'm glad i learned a simple lesson without the harsh consequences. the lude can be replaced, but i myself cannot.
drive safe, buckle up. the seatbelt saved my life.
peace.
