I came across shopjdmstar.com and I was wondering if anyone has had any luck or should I just stick with getting engine from hmotors

I have bought a few motors from tigerjapanese.com all were real clean and ran real strong so no complaints from me and many of my friends have had similar experiences. Hope that helps.

No problem here

H22/H23 VTEC swap is the exact same.........aside from the stock ECU.

The H23 VTEC actually came from an Accord chassis.

GhostAccord if you were to do a swap what would you pick?
And
If I were to do H23 what ECU would I have to get?

I would do the H23 VTEC with some mods (Cam upgrade & Rosko 60mm Euro R intake/throttle body). I would use one of my chipped OBD1 ECU's and tune it. If I was going to run the engine stock. I would get the stock JDM Accord SiR wagon OBD2 H23 VTEC ECU and run it. IIRC it is the P0F ECU.

I'm not sure, maybe just to waste gas?

Some may have to do it if they have a lightweight flywheel. Or it could be that some of the smaller displacement engines don't have the tq in the lower rpm. therefore they feel the need to make up for their inadequacies by making lots of noise and gettin gthe RPMs up where they have a bit of power...lol

If you are referring to post #12. I am talking about the camshafts inside the engine.

i have no previous experience with shopjdmstar but three months ago i purchased a jdm f22a from tigerjapanese. motor was clean. extremely clean on the inside. no sludge or gunk at all and runs great. plus they can ship to a residential address

i highly recommend tiger for a reliable strong engine. also i have heard hmotors is a good way to go. the reason i did not go through them is because they were unwilling to ship to my residence

In the end, I have never heard anyone refer shopjdmmotors however countless people have referred hmotorsonline so just stick with them, imo.
