Default pillow ball mounts

What exactly are they for? I read somewhere that they are used to correct camber, kinda like a built in camber kit. I always though these were some kind of cushioning cap on the top of the coilover assembly. Can someone explain a little better exactly what they are, and if its worth spending the extra few HUNDRED dollars for them when you buy a coilover set like the B2's. Thx

on our suspension, they are used to eliminate the flex of rubber bushings by replacing
them with spherical bearings. they cannot adjust camber
