Icon2 97 accord transmission help

Auto tranny, For the last month i feel like my tranny is shifting harder, and sometimes when shefting fro 1st to 2nd the rpm jumps to like 3500 then goes. A buddy told my the trans in my year if just like that. Hmm, and just had a fluid change.

Could be the NM sensor on the right side cover may be getting a bit fouled up with ferrous particles and it's not giving correct resolution which would give the jerky feeling.

^ go through that link, check the simple stuff first. Also check your TPS, if there is a bad spot on the carbon track it will not allow proper shifting either.

alright first thing you want to do is check the transmission fluid. level and color it should be anywhere red but most likely brownish since it might not have been changed in a while. if it is dark brown or black it be better if u not drain or flush the transmission because it will only damage it. you might need an overhaul or rebuild in this case

I'd also suggest checking the mounts. Then be sure the throttle control cable is adjusted and moving properly........I hope the fluid in there is Honda trans fluid.

If you go this route. Hopefully the people you try selling it to are made aware of the transmission issues.
