What is the best tranny to get for an LS or B20 swap. I'll get the motor in and then decide if it gets boost or vtec.....or both. Should I just stick with the 90-91 LS tranny or should I try for something else?

 

If your gonna stay all motor then you might want to stick with a GS-R tranny. But if your gonna go turbo then you might wanna consider getting a LS for the longer gears for the turbo. Hope this helps for you!

 

I'm almost positive it will be FI. So the LS would definitely be the best bet? That seems to be the concensus of everything i've read. Now, where can I find one or should I just get a full LS swap and switch to the b20 later???

 

The LS tranny would be your best bet for a turbo application and you can find a LS tranny at your local junkyard or somewhere else. Check the classifieds...

 

The LS transmission would be your best bet. Although the Y80 GSR transmission would also be good, it does not bolt in with typical B-series mount kits. And the YS1 GSR transmission is much too short for freeway driving.
