cv axle came out!?!
HEy HT got a problem here.
I was driving my car about 10 mph in the neighborhood when all of a sudden I hear really BAD noises. Bring the car to a complete stop. Popped the Hood and my engine is tilted toward my radiator :[. My driver side engine mount broke. I look underneath my car and the header and oil pan are less than a 1 inch off the ground. AND my cv axle came out or broke where it conects to the bottom of the engine ( half shaft? correct me if im wrong).
My question is do you guys think i need a whole new cv axle or can i put it back in. BEcause before this it was not making any clicking noises. It came out pretty sure because my engine took a little fall so to say
.
Thanks for the replies!
EDIT: Sorry if i post this in the wrong place. Only started posting few days ago.

I wouldn't feel safe using it without taking it off and taking it apart, even if it looks OK on the outside (although if it doesn't it obviously needs to be replaced). Rebuilding a CV joint is not great fun, but it would let you see if the inside of the joint is damaged.
I would most defeintly look as well. You can feel the rubber boot and tell if it pulled out of the the axle hub. If the boot is all stretched out and you can move the axle up in down inside of it then it pulled out. My experience is that you can just shove it back in either if this happend, you will have to replace or rebuild or it will only be a matter of time before it goes out.
