tein HA or another worth coilover.
I have finally opted to get the HA for my ITR which is more of a street car and maybe a light track car. However tein has discontinued the HA for the DC2. Does anyone know where I can find a set, cus all the shops I called order direct from tein so I can;t get HA's from there. or does someone have another suggestion for a coilover. I thought about the zeal b2's but they seem to have slight problems. The RA's are a possibility but this is more of a street car then a track car and the roads here are pretty shitty and I think the RA would have to be overhauled somewhat prematurely. Another possibility were the JIC SF-1's but I don't beleive they are height adjustable. So is there anyone that know how I can get a hold of some HA's or can give me suggestions on comparable coilovers?

I am going to ask this question here since I couldnt get an ANSWER from the people in the eg forum. I am looking at a set of TEIN SS's for both my DA and DC and someone posted that they dont fare too well in northeastern weather. Are the Tein's rust prone and how well do they fare in the snow and on salted roads? What are the shocks made of anyway? I just want a straight answer. Thanks
some of the steel monotube I beleive tiens have had rust issues I beleive in states where salt it used on the roads.. if u get RA's they don;t have that problem as they are aluminum

When I talked to Tein they have addressed these issues. They now putting some type of coating on them to prevent rust. There is also a Super Street or Sport Compact Car issue that does a write up on the Teins and they talk about the coating in the article.
Hope this helps.

I've got HA's in northern NJ. No rust problems what so ever. Simply put some antiseize on the threaded portion that is used. (not the whol threaded collar)
Spray down with WD40 every couple of months. (every month in Winter)
It will attract alot of road dust but who cares as long as it is protected.

SS doesn`t have the helper springs. Different spring rates. Both 16 way adjustable. SS should be about $100 cheaper. I`d sell the SS for about $930 shipped.
