I already searched with no luck at all. I need to know if my valve guides are usable.

Ok so I have a 98 CTR with a 98 turbo B18C5 and I'm in the process of changing my valve seals. When I pulled the valve seals off it looks like the valve guides are chipped up. It doesn't seem like anything to serious, just want to make sure. Will this affect anything and need replacing, or are they still fine and I can use them? Is this normal?

If they need replacing how do you replace them? I read somewhere that the head has to be heated for them to be pulled out, is this true? Would it be easier to take it to the machine shop?

Yes no chips, that's all I figured would really matter

 

Ya, as long as the seals fit snug you shouldn't have an issue.
