the a6 cam is literally the exact same lift and duration as a b2 cam. the only difference is the cam gear offset. you will gain nothing from this. the oem manual has all of that info.

You've never seen them side by side then or measured them for yourself. You will definitely feel an increase mainly in the upper RPM range if you swap this in and get it timed a specific way (mechanical and ignition) but just throwing it in with all else stock you'll barely notice any difference (confirming what "ef yu" stated). Having said that, you will NOT have a fast car with this alone. Combined with the MPFI conversion you will have essentially an Si with slightly less torque. So if having an Si with slightly less torque sounds good to you, go for it.

As a matter a fact i have seen them side by side, I have seen the 88-91 d-series cam specs side by side straight out of Honda material. And i have physically used calipers and measured them. Check your facts again.

I'll post up pics later from my camshaft that I swapped vs my original but for now I'll dig around, see if I can find the pics online from someone else. I know I've seen them before or I wouldn't have done the swap because like you, I saw the specs in the FSM and saw that they were the same but the pics online showed otherwise as did my own experience. Give me a while...

I actually found my mistake before reading that, my DX camshaft is out of the newer 92-95 Civic. Carry on...

EDIT: I'm still finding conflicting info, might be worth a trip to the junkyard to get one for myself and measure lobe heights, base circles, lift, and duration.

That link doesn't verify duration which is where I'm finding conflicting info. Don't worry about it though.

I did this in my 93 4 door runabout. It works and will add a little throttle response but that about it

where do you find the a6 cam because i have an 89 crx with the d15b2 and its a little sluggish even with the mpfi swap and pm6 ecu and i read that the a6 cam with y8 cam gear should make this engine a little more fun and idk if this would have anything to do with it bit ots the mpfi from the hf but could anyone link where I can find and buy the a6 camshaft
