Seats - Del Sol vs. s2000
In my quest to find a lower sitting seat for my Integra, I have come accross a set of factory leather Del sol's and a set of s2000 seats.
The leather on the del sol's is in ok condition, but will probably need to be refinished. Considering the price for the refinishing, the price for the del sol's will be about $2-300 less than the s2000 seats.
My question is, which set will offer the lowest seating position in an Integra?
Which set will be better for the money? Also, which seat will offer better support?
The del sol's are basically a "bolt-on" job after replacing the rails with Integra rails, but the s2000 rails will have to be modded to fit.
What should I go with?

factory del sol leather?? what model did this come in?
also what do you have to do to get s2000 seats in ? just modify the rails?

With the Del Sol seats, how much lower do you end up sitting? I could use some more head room, especially when auto-x'ing with a helmet on. Is the seat height adjustable or anything? How comfortable are they? Do they hold you in place as well as the stock Integra seats do?
Go with the S2000 seats...they will give you the support you will want..and you will have a lower seating position...you might pay alittle more too...but hey how many people have you seen with S2000 seats in an integra

S2000s are nice, but they're quite pricey. The del Sol leather seats were actually offered through a 3rd party company through the dealership as far as I can tell.

S2000 seats supposedly drop you a good inch to an inch and a half. So, you'll be sitting pretty low.
If I was spending that much money, I'd go for a nice used set of Torinos/Recaros.
But if you have to pay to have the seats redone...forget it, you may as well go with the S2K seats, IMO.

What's the best way to get answers? Find out yourself; so I did. Just picked up the s2000 seats and dropped them into my car. More info on the install can be found at: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=303090
So did they sit lower than stock? Yup, about 2 inches; now I can sit straight again!
On top of that, the support is excellent, wrapping you in them like your girl hugging onto you and not letting you go...
Simply awesome.
The only bad thing I can think of is now I feel like a kid trying to drive my dad's truck; the steering wheel is higher than I would like, but i'll get used to it.
Above all, the seats are wonderful and my back is already thanking me.

Is modifying the rails for s2k seats hard? What kind of hardware do you need?
The rear bolt hole on the inner rail had to be filed down a bit to enlarge the hole so that it can align with the hole on the inner side.
The trouble starts with the rear bolt on the outer rail. The bolt hole is horizontally mounted, but the rail is vertical, so the rail needs to be bent down at an angle like the front. But that piece is too long, plus it's made out of harder material. What I am planning to do this weekend is trim that part down and then maybe heat up the area to soften it up so it can bend easier. Then I redrill a hole into the rail and presto.

I got the same setup in a 00 teg... I like it but sucks trying to get people or things into the rear seats. Cause seats dont move up much.
I got the 2 rear bars cut and shortened then rewelded. Then used oem bolts. The welder did a great job for only $80.
The rails look like oem now. How much did you pick up your seats for?
