Turbo would be nice down the road, Wanting to spend about 6k total for the build.
I want to build the motor first. Again what you think is the snappiest b series motor and to get some hp from. I wouldn't mine converting to ep3 interiorr as well

why not go h or k series. And b18c or b20v for a good snappy b series motor.

H22A Motor with a B series Tranny w/ LSD and diffrent gears whichever would best fit your driving

cost you about 4k if you get it piece by piece with that you will **** on any B20 ls vtec NA than later you can turbo it only after you learn everything about FI

i had a H22A with a Stock JDM Type R tranny from a 2001 Type R and i loved it so fast in an EG

this was going to be my suggestion. h22 are good N/A motors. an h22 with a b series tranny (H2B) is an excellent choice. do some research on this and get to it

If you do go h22, you can still turbo down the road. Stupid fun to drive. Had one in a crx loved it.

The H22 will be a pain in the *** to build though, since it has FRM sleeves. K swaps take a good bit of cash to do anything serious with.

Just go with a B16 or B18 swap. It'll be a lot simpler to build down the road, and they can handle a fair bit of boost on the factory internals before you have to worry about upgrading.

b16's are gutless and b18's compared to a H22 is crap you can make power on a stock H22 Block FRM sleeves are not as strong but you can still boost the motor and make power you have to realize 200whp in a EG hatch is a lot of power and its fast trust me i will never drive a honda with 450whp again its scary... 300WHP is really the best power for street driving

Go with a g23 swap a little work but it's worth it in the end, do a lot of homework

Go K swap. K24A1/K20A2 in the near future. Good for a N/a Build and quick 250-300 with bolt ons.

That's not really the point of the thread now is it? BTW. A turbo bolts on.

A k24/k20 hybrid with a seriously good header, 3" exhaust, intake manifold, and intake with velocity stack could very reasonably get 250whp+ on a good tune.

300hp probably pushing it without a solid set of cams, but 250? h2b's get 230whp with bolt ons all the time.
