95 ex will not reve past 74k with swap help
my budy has a 95 ex with a 0bd2 gsr swap. it is on a chiped p28 that revs to 8400 on my integra but when in his car it only revs to 7-7400. we tried a stock p72 a p28 w/s100 that revs to 8500. but when we put it in his it only revs to 7-7400. also s300 with jdm gsr tune still only 7-7400. we changed fuel filter and fuel pump to walbro255. still nothing. could it have to do with the dizzy ?? has any one ever had this problem? it has a fpr and pressure gadge on the fuel filter. when at idle it sits a 42 psi is that normal?

I think sde780 was referring to your title saying "74k' which is literally 74,000rpm.

Seriously though, are you working under the assumption that his tachometer is correct?

You got a jet engine in that Honda?

Seriously though, maybe you're not getting enough fuel and it's leaning out, causing the computer to retard your timing which limits your rev, keeping you from blowing the motor up, idk
