its the middle correct? im worried because i just recently installed this universal radiator fan but it doesnt run at the same speed as the old one, but if its for my year and make it should work(i hope)

i drove on the freeway and street today didnt over heat, just not used to the car running above cold , my old fan was grounded so it was always on, this was is always on too...but its not as powerful as the old oem fan ....

why did you replace the old fan? why did it run constantly?

normal operating temperature is 176* and the fan shouldn't kick on til about 200*

Why on earth would you do that? To compensate for some other problem you couldn't figure out how to fix?

The dash gauge isn't all that accurate, but just below the halfway mark is "normal". If it hits halfway, the car is actually overheating slightly.

running without a thermostat is not a good idea. it prevents the cooling system from operating properly. this is probably why the needle stays on cold most of the time.

install an oem thermostat.

Too cold is not good. Thermostat needed.

If you have no thermostat and your needle is that high up then theres a problem.

our point is that no thermostat will cause the car to "underheat" and not stay at normal operating temp. you will run rich and get lower mpg.
