Anybody have photos of a cage for a CRX or EF9 and the setup?

 

you didnt search.... ?
google, using honda tech in the search string with crx, cage or pics as well.

There will be some threads you will have to sift through but there will be enough reading to give you some ideas, and maybe people to contact.

We dont all have crx's so there isnt a bounty of crx cage pics out there.
There are some pretty darn good builds though, most of them in so cal.
Lastly.. its encouraged to search, read and read some more, before posting something that probably been covered many times over.
We tend not to give out "set ups" as everycar is different, and driving styles vary.
This is something you will have to figure out on your own by trial and error.
Test test test.
I recommend you go to a track day and see if there are any CRX's, and pick their drivers brain.
Take notes.

This would be the person to talk to.
He races, builds,and maintains CRX's for a stable of drivers in So Cal.

 

The best built CRX I have seen is from the dominican republic. It's racing in the DTS with car's like tindol and tripoint mazda 6, wttc cars like seat, team dynamics dc5, etc.

Nope. No one has ever done a cage in a CRX or Civic hatch in the history of man. You should google it to prove me wrong.

 

yea, search is your friend. either on here or google. jeramy has some up of his car, i probably put some up of my old EF, ect. there are plenty.

Cage is intended for solo only, not road racing and that car sees some street use. They're more effective than nothing at all.

Wondering if i could thread jack a little here. Saw this posted locally, im not a cage expert so does anybody have some input on this;

My main concerns are the vertical bar that supports the A pillar bars is curved, and that there is no vertical bar of some sort supporting the main loop. Are these issues?

 

Way too much fail going on in that picture. A cage is a safety device, not a cosmetic accoutrement. Straight lines are strong. Bent ones are not. That is the basics.
