Best setup for sohc zc on crx dx??
heres what im gonna do.. i cant decide tho.. 91 crx si ecu or 86-89 ls ecu? or what other options do i got there.. im basically gonna use the car for 1/4 mile dragging.. as for tranny? which? zc tranny? crx si tranny? i know for a fact im gonna istall si mpfi i allready got it... and the si wiring harness.. just the ecu and tranny that im concerned.. i heard the ls ecu puts out more power and i heard the si tranny pulls harder.. if u guys know of any other good combos plus list them here before i buy my **** so i can have it done right
thanks in advance guys.. btw if i had sohc zc stock on my crx then if i got intake/catback/ and headers would i feel any difference? hehe thanks again. - Timmay!!

Yeah, you'd be best using the Si trans, though you could do a ZC/Si hybrid trans and combine the best of both... I hear that the ZC uses equal length axles. Definately Si if you don't want to mess around with it.
As for the ecu... good question. I think that the Pm6 will lean the engine out a bit, I'd be tempted to try a PG7 from an 89 teg. It's cheap either way. (try buying a p28 for a decent price

i'm running a pg7(89 teg) ecu and it's a big improvement over my si ecu especially the rev limiter. 6500 vs 7200, and I'm running an si 5spd to my JDM D15B. extremely short gear ratios~!
pg7 (89 integ) can i use ike 86-89? or has to be eactly 89? a place told me90 and another told me 91.... im gonna be running my si harnes mpfi from an si and i guess pg7 also.. since i guess everybody is saying thats the best ecu to use...

ok so what kinda difference would i feel from a stock sohc zc in my crx with dx tranny dx ecu dx harness dx dpfi.. and if i did si mpfi si harness and oldschool LS or si ecu what kinda difference would i see in times and speeds? would i even feel a thing?
The Si ECU is probably the right ECU for your SOHC engine, but the revlimit might not be high enough for your tastes. The Integra ECU (you can only use 88 - 89) will run a little rich, but has a higher revlimit. If you are feeling adventureous, I've heard that the ZC transaxle with an Si final drive is the best setup. I'm running just an Si transaxle and it seems to work very well, though.
Edit: Running the DX ECU and DPFI setup is going to suck. It is only made for an engine that produces 92 hp and has 100cc less displacement. You will probably run a little lean and will definitely be down on power. Do the MPFI conversion if you possibly can. I think that HASPORT makes a conversion harness for this, but don't quote me on it.
