Bought a car that didn't have 2 seat bolt in the passenger seat. Went to go put them in and say that the wholes were stripped out. How do i fix this?

 

Pic. Having a hard time picturing what you are talking about exactly. My first instinct is to say to tap for larger bolts.

 

Have something similar but the hole isnt stripped but when you put in a bolt, it munges the threads, do you think running a tap down the hole will fix the threads.

Munge - trying to fit two things together that just shouldn't be put together. At least, that's the PC meaning. I'm pretty sure he isn't talking about dead hookers.

Trying to tap it out wouldn't hurt. If that doesn't work, like grumble said, tap for larger bolts.

 

Munge is closer to distorting so they arent recognizeable for their intended purpose

 

Never heard that term before.

 

they do put stuff on the nut to make it a snug fit and so they dont back out.. does it bolt in but feel like trying to bolt it into like something sticky?
