Have you checked the cap and rotor? Do you have an exhaust leak?

You MUST provide all pertinent information about your car and engine. Failure to do so may result in thread closure.

Or your exhaust is royally jacked. Have you checked for leaks?

Another thing you might want to check into is the o2 sensors. I believe there is one under the hood and on the exhaust pipe itself. Back in the day I had an old pos pontiac that had the exact same problem and it turned out to be a simple o2 sensor.

Do you have an idea as to where the "loud" is coming from? Does it sound like it's coming from under the hood or under the car?

Check the timing, and do a compression test. Don't just "mess" with the timing, make sure it's within spec.

If the motor wasn't built to OEM spec and needs to be one tooth forward to run right, then we're going to need a lot more information before we can help you diagnose a problem. You have two options here. Option one is to hunt down the guy who built the motor and have him figure the problem out, since he's probably the only person who knows the specs. Option two is to set everything to OEM specs and work from there, and we can try to help you.

The reason people aren't understanding you is because you're typing in Ebonics. It might not be how you speak, but typing in proper English makes forums much easier to use. Sentences, paragraphs, and punctuation makes life in text a LOT easier.

This guy sounds...sketchy.

Set the timing to OEM spec, and do those compression and leakdown tests, and let us know what happens.

I'm just spitballin here but if it were a timing and/or compression issue wouldn't it idle really rough? I don't have enough knowledge to know for sure but I always thought if it were one of those two problems you'd have an issue with it whether you are in neutral at a full stop to driving down the freeway. Just a thought.

^^ This.

Also what is the reason he wants you to set cam timing advanced without an adjustable cam gear? No reason the timing should be intentionally a tooth off.

thats the weard thing is if i go back a tooth it turns on the same n runs the same so you cant realy tell if your right on timing..the engine also has a built head diffrent cams...he told me a reason why he built it a tooth advance but i dont realy remember i belive it had something to do with him boosting it n easy tunning but not 100% sure thats the reason....im going to check compression n change the sprk plugs and see wat dat does

See this is why when I bought my civic I was REALLY wary of people who had "swapped engines". There's nothing wrong with it in theory but when you're buying a car like that with no knowledge or paper trail of what's been done it's even hard to fix the problem. The only reason I bought mine with a swapped engine(even though it wasn't the swap I initially wanted) was because the guy had all the work professionally done and had a paper trail for EVERYTHING. I also did as much research as I could before I bought it. Whatever the problem may be I hope you get it fixed.

even if you get paper dosent mean that wat he put in the engine your buying..i can built my engine and give the paper work to a friend dat has the same engine and say its built..so paperwork dosent mean much to me..the engine was running fine befor i didnt buy just the swap i bought it on a running car

dude can u please learn how to spell? Use punctuation? It is so hard to understand what you are saying my head hurts from what I have read here "weird" is spelled like that not "werd" seriously the USA has public schools that you probably have gone to if you are from here and it gives you no excuse to sound like this.

Set you timing to spec use a timing gun and set ignition timing as well pull any cels
