Default HID Conversion Kit for 11' Si

I'm looking into buying an HID Conversion Kit for my 2011 Si Sedan.
I don't know too much about HID's so I was wondering if I could get help and some pointers?
I tried to find out my bulb size and my results came out to 9006 bulb size? Not exactly sure. Just posting this for information on best color, bulb size for my car, and how the kit works for low, hi, and fog bulbs.

Thanks!

Don't just install HID bulbs into your headlights, do it correctly with HID projectors. Do a search for HID retrofit on 8thcivic.com

I have seen examples of people doing the TSX HID install into the 8th gen civic... make sure you check it out carefully... but it should work...

I have heard they are pretty simple. They say you need the whole kit which are the 2 Xenon HID Bulbs, 2 Digital HID Ballasts, and All Necessary Wiring and Connectors*. Then it is just plug and play from there?

What you're talking about is a hid kit. It is generally cheap and has bad light output. If youre going to do it go to hidplanet.com and research. Also check out theretrofitsource.com

Best advice right there!!!

If it was just for fog lights then just get a kit and call it a day but for driving lights I would get it done right then regret it later!

Yes please dont be an inconsiderate moron blinding all the other drivers out on the road. Do your research, retrofit is a little spendy but you definitely get your moneys worth

@coupe_hybrid

How does it make it different for me to "not" be blinding people with HIDs? Even if I do research and purchase a correct and more reasonable set up from retrofit or anywhere else?

Other than that, those websites help out a lot! Love them! Thank you

There is a big difference between a retrofit and an hid kit. An hid kit is just ballasts with bulbs put into stock halogen headlights. They generally have scattered light output and can be unsafe to opposing traffic. A correctly done retrofit will have a sharp light output like it came from the factory. It is the safest way to go, albeit more expensive. Safety isn't something you should cheap out on though. Contact customlightz.com they do a great job if you are unable to do the job yourself.

theres so many great options for easy retrofits. if you join hidplanet.com, there is a group buy going on right now for the Mini-H1 projectors for like $75, including shrouds and all install hardware. Also, almost daily there is someone selling used projectors at really reasonable prices. Ive bought all my stuff from that site and have never been burned on a single sale. For a first time project, theres nothing wrong with using used parts. Im currently running used lexus ballasts that came off a 02-03ish car and they still work great. No reason you cant do the whole project for under $200 if you find good quality used parts and upgrade/replace as needed. pm me if you have any specific questions. ive been doing retrofits for years

I see. I've never really understood the many possibilities for HIDs and actually having them done. I have mainly just been told about the HID kits but never getting them actually done right. I will do my research on all and hope to have a good set up. Thanks for the help fellas!

Do you have a link to that by any chance? I'm assuming that the shrouds are replacements that allow projectors to be bolted in?
