DSM Turbo Parts On F22A1 Safe?
I'm wondering how long will my f22a1 last with a dam turbo manifold turbo Sam injectors and cheap pipping and inter cooler off eBay and my motor has 293xxx miles on it
thats a lot of miles on engine.i would rebuild before boosting it.as for using dsm turbo, yes u can but you also need the dsm 440 injectors too.i used a 14b turbo with mine and was fine.i even used it on my g swap for awhile.hope this helped you.
Why are you going to switch to a B1?
I think you should slow down and figure out what it is you want to do. You just had some major issues doing at a simple A6 cam swap.
I say stick with the F22A it is probably the best F series platform to start with. Ditch the idea of building an F22B1.
if you want to go boost stick with that process and research as much as you can about forced induction.
As for the F22 engine holding up to boost. An F22 in good condition will hold a DSM turbo build. Tuning is key!
Do a compression test on your high mileage F22 and go from there.
