Default something wrong with my ef

My car keeps cutting out while Im driving. My car will drive fine then I will feel it mis and the check engine light will come on and a few min after that the car will start jumping and boging. The rpm will drop and start jumping by it self, and it will just get lower and lower then the car will die. I can start the car up after it dies and it will drive fine for a few min then it will happen again. The code is 48, lean air fuel sensor. I have already replaced the sensor and cleared the code but now its back, but I dont think a o2 sensor would cause this problem. Do yall have any advice?

Check your wiring - it can fail. (Between the ECU and O2 connector.)

ok, but I dont think a o2 code would cause my engine to act up like this. When I notice it starting to die, I can ful throttle the motor and I wont rev. It will just sit there and bog.

If you truly have a code 48, then it's an odd one. Typically it happens on the VX model the most. If you want help then you need to do some checking as well. What is the setup you are running? ECU, OBD, engine, ect...

Would make sense if it were code 4 and code 8. Both of those would cause the engine to stop running.
Both are in the distributor so...
Check your wiring for loose connections and sensor ground.
if wiring checks out ok, then try a different distributor
