-take off all the nessecary crap to take the vc off and timing cover off
-take a paint pen and mark the belt and gear ....i always make two seperate marks incase one comes off one thin one fat
-lossen the timing tentioner
-here is the trick, you need a bunch of zipties or a bungy cord orr something like that... pull up on the side of the belt to give it slack, keep tention on the belt!!!!! slide it off and keep tention on the belt!!!! while keeping the tention wrapp the bungy or i have used 3 or 4 zip ties and hook it up to something (i always used my strut tower bar)
-if the belt losses tention at any point you need to retime the car, what your preventing is keeping the belt from coming off the bottom timing gear teeth, cuz if it does there is no telling where it went back on and your premarked lines wont mean squat
- consult a manuel and replace cam, slide belt on to match the marks....reset your valve lash
-go make some ripper vids

Do you have a detailed shop manual for your F22A1 engine? Helms would be preferred.

Don't forget to loosen all of your valve lash adjusting screws before you loosen any of the rocker assembly bolts. Do not remove the rocker assembly bolts from the assembly. Loosen them as far as they will go and then lift them out with the assembly. Doing this keeps everything as one assembly. These tips are in the manual.

Reason for the manual is to help you, in case the bungee cord slips and you need to physically set the timing on your engine. Not to mention the valve adjustment procedure is in there as well. Having the right tools to do the job makes it a hell of a lot easier. The manual is one of them.

good luck
