1990 Accord LX flashing "S" light.
Ok, I just bought a 90' Accord the other day, knowing that I'd need to do some work on it. On my instrument panel Is a green blinking light with an S on it, which I have come to find out stands for "Sport". The reason I'm posting is because I have been searching the internet trying to find a solution to my problem. What I've found is a ton of info that is hard to sort through and understand because I'm not a mechanic. I hoping some of you on here might have a little more definitive info for me. The light blinks and my speedo is going all crazy. Which, according to the various websites I've encountered, means I'm going to need either a new VSS or Transmission or ECM or TCM. Where do I start?
I have this same problem in my 1990 Accord EX. My tach and speedometer
have been erratic...they work sometimes and not others. This usually triggers
the 'flashing S'. Seems like maybe a loose connector on tach or speedo cable and or sensor. Ideas ??
