who bought the DIY kit? i think im gonna put it together myself. how accurate are they? worth the cash? how hard was it to put together? think im going this route so i can tune the smc properly.

also, how long of a cable did you guys use? the 2.6m or the 4m one?

Cable lenght depends on where you intend to put your 02 sensor, and where your putting the controller box. As for reviews, the unit works very well. Matches the results of the dynoss true wideband VERY well.
Assembly is not simple, but certainly do-able.

 

Get the shorter cable. 4m is long!!

I got the shorter one and I still had to coil 75% of it up under the dash.

 

Unless you have a Cadillac. 8 1/2 feet is plenty to work with. To test: Make an 8 1/2 ft cord (rope, whatever) and try and run it where you'd run the cable.

It's pretty straightforward, But it isn't simple. You have to trim a few components to get them to fit properly, calculate the proper resistor value to get the heater current exactly right, and do some very basic testing of the unit as you go along...

Simple is a battery, 2 wires, and a lightbulb....
