I have a manual 93 honda accord axle keeps popping out of the passenger side. I have replaced the Axle, but it still pop out. I am planning to swap the tranny if there isn't any other reason why it would pop out. ANy helps?

Do u mean it keeps popping out of gear?

 

Are you sure you have the axle In all the way?How hard was It to get the axle In the spindle?

 

If you have removed the old axle and the C clip stayed in the groove in the drive gear and you installed a new axle with the new C clip, then it will pop out. If you install any axle with no clip it will pop out. You must have a floating clip, not bent or badly out of round that will lock in the drive axle groove. It must take a screwdriver or small pry bar to "pop' the axle out or the axle will pop out while driving. Can a drive gear move enough for the C clip not to line up.......not sure on that one.

 

I would do what bandit said.....Take a few hours take ur time check the c-clips make sure urs has one on the axle if you have ur old one check and maksure the c-clips still on It if not thats whats wrong you have to clips If thats the case the old axle would have been a bitch to get out and the new axle would have been hell geting It Into the spindle...U can also spreed ur c-clip a tad......Why did you change ur old axle?Did It also pop out?If so then I would check into the tranny....Is ur car lowered?
