b18b1 turb help

Default b18b1 turb help

ok so i bought. a ef with a b18b1 turbo its only boosting 4 psi
i was wondering what is a safe rpm to be switching gears and
how can u know if its tune?
the guy said it was tune but idk if it is doesnt smoke
has rc injectors and walbro fuel pump
idles fine

i would take it to get retuned just to be safe your tuner should set a safe rev limit

try a local tuner or import shop.. with the turbo you should plan to spend anywhere from 150-300 bucks for a good street tune and you could rev to about 7, id say nothing over. i set mine at 6800 which is the "stock" redline but since the rev limiter is most likely out of your b18 because you converted, id put it at 6800 or 7000 to be safe.. do you have stock internals by the way?

a stock LS motor you sholdnt be reving it pact 7200rpm maximum if its a healthy lower milage motor. these heads float valves very easily. Buy yoru self a wideband and install it and see what your a/f ratios are at in part throttle and in boost. if its really rich or lean anywhere then get it tuned

where are you located? and im guessing where you are will depend on how much you pay.
