H22a is it the jdm or is it udm?
Ok I am so confused I want a h22 but I want the jdm version bc I heard its better and stronger. But I want to know if there is a diff or not. I'm confused can someone plz help me
they are all the same unless it is an sir s-spec or a type-s or type-sh. jdm base h22's have very slightly higher compression. just get a healthy h22 and dont worry about the 2 or so hp difference between usdm and jdm base h22s.
ok ok ok...
Faster could be a diffrence of weight of cars, past rebuilds so on and so forth... Just buy a H22a or H22 type S... I dont think your going to be faster then anyone

The JDM "H22A" usually has either 187bhp or 197bhp depending on the car (Accord SiR vs Preludes) it came out of. If you're lucky enough to find one out of a Prelude Type-S, Prelude SiR S-spec, or Accord Euro-R, it has 217bhp.
The American "H22A1" had 187bhp. 4th-gen Prelude VTEC.
The American "H22A4" had 197bhp. 5th-gen Prelude base and SH.
The Accord Type-R had a red-top H22A7 with 209bhp, but good luck finding one.

I'm an Accord guy, not so much educated on the overseas Prelude models, sorry.
The Type-R was a Europe-only model. The Euro-R was a Japan-only model. Different chassis, and I think the Type-R was the more aggressive/"sporty" one.
Type-R

Euro-Rs (this first one is actually up on Craigslist here in Fort Collins, CO. Apparently wrecked, but I never requested updated shots as per the description to see just how much. I think he was asking $5k)
