distributor setting! help!
how do i know that i set my distributor right? i was driving and the car died and now im not getting spark. i switched it out twice and still not turning on.

how the hell did that happen? did you take the cam gear off for some reason? I have only heard of this happing once, the person installed an aftermarket cam gear and didnt torque it down to spec. the bolt backed off and sheared it off but this was on a b series.
The Helm service manual outlines the correct way to set ignition timing to factory specs. The procedure varies slightly depending on the model and trim, but generally you warm up the car, short the service connector to ground, and use a timing light to adjust the distributor to line up the #1 timing to a mark on the crank pulley .
