How tall is your friend? A good friend of mine is 6 10" and I've always thought I should get a photo of him in a mini or something doing the same thing. lol

+1 on the lowering question. Interested in how you tackled it.
I'm considering a 2 inch leaf spring block in the rear with longer U-bolts, stiffer aftermarket shocks and trimmed rubber damper.
Did you have to adjust the emergency brake line to not rub the underside?

The front I'm considering stiffer aftermarket miata springs but the OE shocks might not have much travel so that is something I'm looking into modding. Any insight is helpful.

i know a guy who remakes honda 600 front struts into coil overs. contact me direct and ill get you his info. its not cheap but he completely rebuilds them to new condition and they're adjustable.

Parts, close to assembly

Assembled as stock struts

Parts again with springs. (Springs are usually a bright silver, but can be your choice of color)

Assembled as adjustable coil-overs (using so QA-1 springs here)
Hey guys, it’s good to see this thread come alive.
I own and am a 1 old man company. I am the only full time Honda 600 (cars) company in the world that makes NEW hi-performance parts for these cars. I’ve been a 600 owner since 1976 and have had at one point, 19 at once. See my contact info at end of this post.

On the struts, I take the stock front struts (sedan or coupe), fully disassemble them, I then send the strut rods out for a completely new hard chrome application. I have the strut body powdercoated and then, I put new seals, oil, as well as a new design thrust bearing assembly with all new parts. At that point, I offer a stock strut or a adjustable coil-over design with 2 different spring choices available.

My adjustable coil-over struts can lower the front as much as almost 4 inches (or you can increase the front height).

I wish I could give these away, but it’s an expensive process with a lot of labor involved.

Note: it’s extremely important that you rebuild your steering rack using my bushing kit or someone elses’s. Lowering the 600’s results in very quick steering mainly due to the increased negative camber (as a result of lowering). If you have any play in your steering, the car can be a real handful at speed.

Now, hold your breath when you see my prices.
I sell these on a regular basis and if you want to put these on a motorcycle engined 600, call me and I’ll be able to help you.

Check struts and a bunch of other products I make on my website:

Thanks,
Rick Morris

There is info on my website for the coilover conversion.
I do have a completed set ready to ship for Z600.
normally, I ask $1450, but I need to move them. First $1200 gets them. I now offer a different spring set. The new springs are longer than QA1’s I originally offered (and still offer them). These new springs will give a better ride for a street car. QA1 springs are short and stiff.
so, the Coupe coilovers I am offering here can have either set of springs. The new ones may not lower the car almost 4” like QA1 springs will do.
go here and look at the adjustable coilovers I make.
