Hey guys, im a newbie...I have a 93 Accord LX that has 192,000 miles on it. My rear brake light is out even though I have replaced all the lights and control box in the rear. I mean what else could it be? Anyone have this problem? The dumb red light in my dash is making me mad.....

 

i have the same problem now with my 96 accord , i think the only way to get rid of the stupid redlight is reset the "cel"and i dont know how to do that . i already tryied reseting my ecu and that didn;t work

 

Is it one light or all of them? Did you check your fuses? Does your horn work?

 

Its my drivers side brake light in the rear. Everything works, even the horn...I just don't know what it is...

 

try a ground wire that might be loose.......

 

Is the socket corroded?

 

hey, i got an idea! if the light is annoying you and all your lights are working, pull your dash cluster (30min job) and pull that bulb out. i recently bout a new cluster for my 94 accord and it came as a 4 door and i pulled 2 of the door light indicators out with needlenose pliers!!

 

Where would I find the ground wire?

 

Definately check the fuses, I had the same problem, and it fixed it. No more red lights for me!

 

the brake lights are dual filament make sure that one of the filaments is not blown
