The fate of '00 #477 is still uncertain...
Well I went to the Subaru dealer today (found a small ping when I first bought the car they fixed). I was talking with one of the guys that works there (some salesman turned finance guy). We got talking about my old ITR on the lot. The guy said him and another salesman decided to run ITR vs WRX wagon.
Uh oh.
[disclaimer]Keep in mind these guys probably aren't the best drivers around and don't even know what VTEC is I can only assume[/disclaimer]
Well this guy tells me that he thought the WRX would KILL the ITR. Hmm. So I guess these guys ran 'em a little and ITR was right with the WRX wagon. haha. The guy was driving the WRX and said he was quite suprised at how quick the ITR was.
I was pretty happy that he showed some respect for the R. I do however think the WRX is faster from a dead stop, but the ITR could get a stock WRX on the interstate from 70 mph - up. The WRX suffers from some poor gearing up top.
Either way, if ANYONE is seriously interested in my old ITR...it's priced right @ $20,995.
With only 11,500 miles I think it's a great asking price.
Contact me if seriously interested. yellow_dragon_itr@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Todd

An ITR would crush a stock WRX from a slow roll all the way up to redline 5th. The ONLY advantage the WRX has in straight line stock acceleration is in the launch.
Now, if only your car were black...

I'm not going to sit here and be biased towards either car yet. I will tell you this much...even with a few simple mods the WRX would murder an ITR in any straight line acceleration (stop, roll, drag race to the grocery store).
damn that is a great price. there was a 00 with 25k miles and they wanted $27,000 at the dealership for it
....they were insane.

Unless your talking STi, Goodluck. I leave WRX's at the lights easy.
But I beleive it's because most WRX drivers don't known how to launch their 4x4's.
They usually get bogged down, Then BYE BYE.
Like I said, Unless it's an STi... Then it's much closer....but the STi will just keep pulling away.
But Rex's, as we call 'em here in Australia, are like A$$HOLES around here.....
Everyone's got one....... HEHEHE.
Later.

Well I guess everyone needs to learn. When I first got my ITR (1500 miles on it) I lost to a modded GTI VR6.
