Which plug wires - NGK or Magnecore? I have a credit.....
I have a credit with JDMHONDAPARTS.com and figured i'd just get a new set of wires. They offer the NGK 8mm blue or Magnecore 8mm red. The price is not a concern. I just want the better quality wires. Or should i just get the refund and buy the stock oem ones?

how much are they selling the ngks for?
if they are more than stock, then i'd go with the stock ones...
if they are the same price or less, i'd get the ngk...for the sake of convenience

NGK - $58
Magnecore - $69
Not sure if they'll charge me for shipping considering i paid the fee when i ordered some other things. Are either of these any better than stock?

whats the price on the stockers?
I'm not a fan of the Magnecors. I've had a couple friends have fitment problems with them. For some reason, they liked to pop off. Of those two, I'd go with NGK, but if you're not running serious mods, I'd put stock wires back on.
I had the same fitment problems with a set of MSDs i bought. They could easily pop off, so i sold them on ebay. I think the stock wires go for around $50. If these are no better, i'll just stick with the stock i guess. I don't plan on doing any real modifications.

use the money for a good set of brake pads instead

What that dyno test analysis dosent take into account is that when making back to back dyno pulls with everything held constant the power you would make would be less and less (slightly) due to your motor heating up after each pull, unless you let it cool down between pulls, but he did'nt. Just my two cents, still very interesting though...
I've being using the Magnecor for a long time and not problems at all. Good wires.
About the fitment or popping out stuff, you just need to know how to install them.

NGK, they are like stock, but they conduct a little better, or so i am told
I am getting them to replace the yellow ones that came on my car, have you seen the NGK's that are like $170? Any advantages to those?

Dont' get the Magnecore's. Not only did I have fitment problems, like many, many other Honda guys, but one of the wires also started arcing as well. Sure it's covered under warranty, but they were only 6 months old!!! When I went back and complained to the shop I bought them from, he said they had lots of people complaining about quality and fitment issues as well (not only Honda guys). Stay away, they're way overhyped IMO.
I have the Magnecores. I've had sets of these wires on several differnet cars with no problems. However, like mentioned above, they come loose under high RPM on my ITR. I dropped a wire entering turn 3a at Mid-Ohio in August. For those of you who don't know, you need to be hard on the power in turn 3a to make 3b. Missing a plug wire it was hard to find the power
I would recommend the NGK's or the stock plugs depending on mods.
