Default stick weld aluminum?

Im looking for a welder for random projects, intercooler piping, exhaust, brackets and such. i cant afford a ac tig welder for aluminum, but i can find stick welders everywhere. is it possible to stick weld aluminum as thin as intercooler piping? or does anyone have any experience with stick welding aluminum.

Save yourself time and frustration and get the right machine for the job. Stick welding the kind of things you want to do will only get you frustrated and won't work. Mig welders that will weld 16ga Aluminum properly are more expensive than most tigs. Save up and buy a used Tig machine.

Just get a MIG welder, buy a good miller or Lincoln, 110 or 220 any will do fine for at home projects, u can weld aluminum with it just need to buy a spool gun and argon gas
