Some coolant on the new timing belt
Hey
Dont know if I am being overly concerned about this but i want to be sure. I just replaced the timing belt in my 97 accord. Of course replaced the water pump as well and the coolant spilled over the gears. Now I put the new timing belt on without wiping down the gears. There probly couldnt have been very much coolant on the gears but could this turn out to be a problem?? How much coolant does it take to eat through a belt? And if it does how long would that take?
Thanks a bunch

I really doubt that small of an amount of fluids will affect the timing belt. Continued exposure to leaking fluids is what I'd be concerned with.
