Default Sorry to sound a bit noobish, but I have a simple Q.

So the GS-R and the Type R have the same body and strucure?

Or have the Type R chassis been modified?

Is the only difference in the two preformance, drivetrain, and suspension wise, or the body is different also?

The chassis is similar, but not the same. Engine, drivetrain, transmission/lsd, exhuast, suspension are all different. Sound dampening is not as beefed up as it is on the GSR. There was some other weight reduction. Some of the body panels are different, too. I'm not exactly sure what the difference in chassis is (stampings?), but i'm sure someone is posting that right now.... (I was right.) Damn, I'm slow.

One more.....
Fast-Glass. The glass used in the ITR is slightly thinner. Therefore alittle lighter.

Later.

This I did not know!

EXCLUSIVE BODY COLOR
All Integra Type R's will be available in Championship White. This color was developed exclusively for Honda's Formula One race cars in the early 1960s and is applied on the Type R to commemorate the company's first-ever Formula One victory- Richie Ginther's first-place finish in the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix.

that is still under debate as a number of R owners have sought out the prized thinner front windshield from acura to no avail...
