Default Stock p28 running a b16

Currently I have b16 in my 99 ex with crower stage 3 cams and a blox intake manifold. It's running off a Crome "tuned" p28 which was street tuned by the guy I got the motor from. I have a set of 88-91 b16 cams cams I want to switch into it and a stock p28. I don't have the money for a tune atm but I have an untouched p28 as well. Basically all I want is for the car to run smoothly w/o the risk of internal damage. The head has dual valve springs but I'm not positive it has upgraded keepers and I know the valves are stock. My question is can I run the 88-91 cams w/ the stock p28 w/o causing any damage to the motor

It'll run soggy, but it's not dangerous.

A stock p28 on a b16? Why not just buy and obd1 b16 ecu? Or get a b16 basemap for your chipped ecu?

It's like $25 from Xenocron.com

Then getting the basemap from xenocron is your cheapest and safest route.
