Default Driver's side speaker out.

96 civic ex

I have an aftermarket headunit, amp and speakers, my driver's side speaker is out. I tried swapping channels the front 2 speakers and it still will not play.

I tried an extra speaker just plugged it in the drivers side still won't play.

I am wondering is it a wiring issue?

Anyone have a wiring colors diagram for the drivers speakers coming into door?

Do the wires change colors inside the door as opposed to the wire coming into the fender?

The speaker wires are the same from the back of the stereo to the speaker. Just google "1996 honda civic stereo wire diagram". That will show you what wires are which. And it seems like a wiring issue if u have tried 2 speakers n they don`t work.

This is hard to diagnose but I would suspect a short in the speaker wiring assuming your wiring is correct.

Also, there's a chance the headunit itself is defective.

If it was me I'd pull the deck and keep it powered and run the speaker directly to the back of the deck wires.

Yup and if it still doesn't work after that, than more than like the outputs are burned for that channel. If you do get it to work from pluggin in directly to the rear of the deck, then you know that you will have to trace for a short or break in the wires for that channel.
