Speaker wiring problem :(
Hey guys.
I bought this car, and it had stock speakers so I'm 100% sure that the old wiring *used* to be fine.
I then put a system in it, so instead of using the tiny stock wires to run the front speakers to the deck, I ran my own separate wire going to them.
Now, I pulled them system and I'm just going to use the old stock wiring again, and just connect the speakers to the wires, and then connect it to my deck through the stock wiring.
So, I started with the passenger side speaker. Pulled the speaker, removed my wiring and took the 2 original speaker wires:
Then I looked at my deck, and found what wires are for the left speaker:
So I found the wires in the dash, and connected them accordingly
This is where the problems start. The speaker did not work.
After making sure the negative and the positive was correct (although it shouldn't matter, right? I find that speakers work even when you get the positivies and negatives wrong).
Anyways, I just decided to try the drivers side now.
This is even worse.
There is only one wire for some reason, I couldn't find another. And now I'm even more lost because this wire is the exact same color as the one on the other side. I thought there would be 4 different wires? passenger positive, pass negative, driver positive, driver negative. But a) there is only one wire and b) it's the same as the other.
Can someone jsut clear this up for me? I am this close to just running my own wire again to my deck but was hoping to avoid this.
Thanks.
